My Language 4 Self-assessment 2025
Hellooo I’m here again and I really hope this is the last time I’m doing this for phonetics. Honestly this semester has been more stressful than others, and I am not the only one who think the same within my classmates.
Starting with my grades, I feel really disappointed about them and how miserable I became about it, I just keep trying my best but literary an amount of situations were played againts me, for example: The schedule, the travel I do everyday, and more personal things that I don’t want to mention. Even though, I’m glad that I’m not alone, I have friends I can trust: Tamy and Panchi, who had been helping me, and bringing me their home as a place to stay in those days when we leave the university very late. Sometimes we study or we make a project for the following day. Or sometimes we just rest because the day was very tired.
Talking about Phonetics itself, I really enjoyed doing ‘Voice Dubbing’ with friends and also alone, and it was the same feeling watching the ‘Voice Dubbing’ from other classmates, I really think we have some hidden talents in our classroom. On the other hand, Falli and Rise intonation has become one of my favorites classes, I don’t know why, but since that unit started, was being funny every time when we had to record an audio and listened all my classmates trying to do the right intonation.
In the other classes I think we have fun in different ways because they are obviously differents, but it’s thanks to my classmates I guess.I really hope that we still being closer and friendly to each others the rest of the career; perhaps our differences will help us to face them.
I really wish the end of this crazy semester also I don’t want to because next year we have our Practices and I’m very anxious about it, and because I also believe that I need to pulish a little bit more. But I can’t manage the time, so I guess I will never be truly prepared for it.
Reflecting on Microteaching projects and SAMR & TPACK
The microteaching I’ll focus it’s on Agustina U. And Francisca C. Where they talk about daily routines and habits that may all of us have.
One strengths: The way they used technology, they used to introduce the topic (a video), then with the activity they use flashcards and work in pairs, and to close up they used another video. So, if we put into a real classroom, the activity and the videos will be a good options to catch the attentions of the learners.
One weaknesses: At the moment of the activity the instructions weren’t very clear so the student might be confuse, a good way to avoid confusions inside the classroom can be ‘modeling’ the activity before doing. I would improve in the pedagogical area, because I think they had a lack of information which can produce frustration in the students who may need more scaffolding.
Even though, I still consider they did an amazing job and choose an interesting topic.
How to use Education Technology
Main points
- Use of digital classroom.
- Create differentiated learning experiences.
- Increase students’ engagement.
- Ditch textbooks and flip classrooms.
- Give students choice for how to show mastery.
- Teach 21st century skills.
- Bring abstract experiences to life with AR and VR.
- Expand classroom walls.
- Teach digital citizenship skills.
- Promote social sharing of work students creatre.
- Develop metacognition skills.
- Enhance family engangement.
- Improve teacher practice.
Summary
Digital leaning should start with clear goals and use technology as a tool to enhance, not replace, teaching. It encourages differentiated and personalized experiences that foster collaboration, creativy, and critical thinking. By flipping classrooms, using VR/AR, and expanding learning beyond walls, students engage in meaningful, real-world applications. Choice and formative assessments empower them to show mastery in diverse ways while developing digital citizenship and metacognitive skills. Social sharing, family engagement, and community connections further enrich learning. Finally, teachers improve their practice by embracing innovative models, taking risks, and building professional learning networks (PLNs).
Concept I chose: 5. Give students choice for how to show mastery
Allowing students to demonstrate what they’ve learned in different ways instead of only through traditional tests or written assignments, will demonstrate to the teachers what they know and can do. For example a student might create a video, build a digital project, etc. This approach values students strengths, creativity, and learning styles, and also will demonstrate the mastery of the content. Even more now that they have in their hands the tool of AI, which can be a limitant for their capacities and development in the digital world.

>Headmaster Charleston, faculty members, fellow students, family an friends. Welcome, we never thought this day wold come.
>We prayed for its quik delivery crossed days off our calendars, counted hours, minutes and seconds and now that its here. I’m sorry it is because it means leaving friends who inspire me and teachers who’ve been my mentors, so many people who have shaped my life and my fellow students lives impermeably and forever.
>I live in two worlds, one is a world of books. I’ve been a resident of Faulkner’s Yukner, Patafa County, Haunted the white whale aboard the pequod, fought alongside Napopleon, sailed a raft with Huck and Jim, committed absurdities with Ignatius J. Riley, wrote a sad train with Anna Karenina, and strolled down Swan’s way.
>It’s a rewarding world, but my second one is by far superior.
>My second one is populated with characters slightyly less eccentric but sumpremely real. Mead of flesh and bone, full of love, who are my ultimate inspiration for everything.
>Richard and Emily Girlmore are kind, decent, unfailingly generous people. They are my twin pillars without whom I could not stan. I am proud to be their grandchild.
>But my ultimate inspiration comes from my best friend. The dazzling woman from whom I received my name and my life’s blood, Lorelai Gilmore.
>My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn’t do whatever I wanted to do or be whomever I wanted to b. She filled our house with love and fun, and books and music. Unflagging in her efforts to give me role models, from Jane Austen to Adora Welty to Patti Smith.
>As she guided me through these incredibly eigtheen years, I don’t know if she ever realized that the person I most wanted to be was her.
>Thank you mom, You are my guide post for everything.
